This was a fun and fast knit and I love the colours in this one. It reminds me of old Victorian Christman.
Yarn used: Opal Glitter mit Silbereffekt, 9670 Shine Needle: 2.50 mm Started: 24th of December 2021 Finished: 25th of January 2022 Pattern: Just a Vanilla Sock Designer: Me 😉
Latest pair of socks that I now realised that I should have used 2.25mm needles for, so I will put them in the washing machine on 40c and see if they will fit better after.
They were fun to knit so I might knit another pair at a later time.
Yarn used: Fingering weight (Fabel & Mayflower 1Class (Yellow)) Needle: 2.50 mm Started: 1st of February 2021 Finished: 12th of February 2021 Pattern: Amore Sampler Socks Designer: Kay F Jones
Another pair of socks by Kay F Jones and they were part of a collection she made inspired by Harry Potter, and the collection is called “The Swish and Flick Collective“. This collection holds 8 patterns and not all were socks.
The inspiration for these socks is from The Yule Ball and she wanted to capture the feeling of being stood in the Great Hall and the lace pattern depicts the windows that surround the Great Hall. The twinkly stitch pattern that flows down from the windows and over the foot represents the magically frosted walls, and it was That! that made me use the silver thread in it.
Very pleased with them and a perfect fit.
The yarn was held with this thin tinsel silver thread by Gütermann.
Yarn used: Hobbii Happy Feet Solid Colourway: 15 Gris Mayflower 1 Class Colourway: 2026 Needled: 2.5 mm Started: 4 September 2019 Finished: 2 February 2020 Pattern:Twinkle & Dance Designer: Kay F Jones
A new year and hopefully a good one and time to knit new things, and I started with a pair of socks. I really wanted to use the yellow and lilac/purple heel as in the pattern but I couldn’t find the perfect purple to match the yellow I had, so I decided to leave them out and knit everything in the main colour that was almost the same as in the pattern.
Most of my socks are all by Kay F Jones because her patterns are so well written that you just can’t do wrong and this is perfect for a new knitter who’s learning to knit socks. I also like her style and patterns plus that I’m a big fan of their (Dan & Kay Jones) Pod cast The Bakery Bears and I’m a patreon of it as well. If you want to know more about them then check out their Home Page.
Clementine SocksVery nice pattern that you only see when you wear it.

This advent knitting was really fun to be part of. It was the first Christmas knit along that the Bakery Bears held and I can’t wait for next years KAL.
The Bakery Bears podcast duo of Dan and Kay Jones have split the Christmas advent calendar this year by doing their own things. Dan is taking the viewers out on trips to interesting places that have Christmas connections and Kay has started a mystery Christmas Knit along. So on every odd dates its Dan and even dates it’s Kay, so the KAL (knit-a-long) is a pair of socks with a Christmas/festive theme.
Bakery Bears Mystery Christmas KAL
Day 1. Fairy Light Ribbing
Day 2. Chimney Stacks
Day 3. Tinsel Lace
Tomorrow is the next section and I can’t wait to see what pattern that will be.
I needed to have a bit of a rest from the Riddari jumper before I get on with the colour work on the yoke, so I thought I cast on a pair of socks in between. Kay Jones from the podcast The Bakery Bears have released a new pattern for us Patreons and it’s called Blizzard.
So here is the first sock done and I have already done the ribbing on the second sock. It’s a bit hard to see it on this photo but the lace pattern is showing fir trees. I have to say that I love her patterns because they are so well written and the patterns are nice and fun to knit.
These socks were quick and fun to knit. The pattern is so well written and looks great, also fit perfectly.
I joined in with the designer Kay F Jones, from the Bakery Bears Podcast for her #BBOpalKal to knit up things only using Opal Yarn to free up some stash space. I will defiantly knit these again.
